Boil Order

Due to a water main disruption on Page St. Saturday the City of Kewanee Water Division has issued a BOIL ORDER for the addresses listed below. Water services have been restored, and the following areas will be under a boil order until test results from samples indicate the order may be lifted (typically within 48 – 72 hours).

• West Division St. – between S Beach St. and S Burlington Ave.
• Dewey Ave. – between Birch Pl. and S Burlington Ave.
• W Mill St. – between S Beach St. and S Burlington Ave.
• Knox St.
• W Church St.
• Page St.
• Kinzer Ct.
• S Burlington Ave – between West Division St and Page St
• S Beach St. – between W Division St and Page St.
• Bronson St.
• Miner St.
• S Dodge St.
• S Junior Ave.
• S Acorn St.
• S Washington St.
• West St. S – between West Division St. and Page St.
• Birch Pl. – between West Division St. and Page St.
• Parkview Dr.
• Windmont Rd.
• Valley Rd.
• Hillside Dr.
• David St.
• Sunset Dr.
• Ridge Rd.
• Westgate Dr.
• Mill Pl.

Residents in this area may experience low water pressure or rusty water.  Residents are asked to take precautions when using water until the water runs clean.  Only flush the system by running cold water, running hot water may draw rust into the water heater.  Water being consumed for drinking or eating is all that is under the order.  Using water for cleaning, laundry, showers, etc. does not need to be boiled.

As soon as the boil order is lifted, the City will issue a press release to let residents know.
