Water Main Replacement - S Grove St
The Water Division will begin installation of a new water main & valve replacement on S Grove Street between Park Row and Park Ave, starting July 13th, 2026. This project aims to address water main and valve replacements and ensure compliance with ILEPA regulations regarding water main installation and repair.
Residents in the affected area will experience a temporary interruption of their water service starting at 6:00 am on Monday, July 13th lasting approximately 8 hours while repairs are made. After water service has been restored, those affected will be under a boil order.
The work on the project will be within the roadway and the road will be closed to thru-traffic during this time. Residents in this area will have access to their driveways, we just ask to use caution while the crew is completing their work.
