The City of Kewanee will resume landscape bag pickup on Monday 3/21/22.  Bags will be picked up every Monday (excluding holidays) through December.  Each bag must have an Excess Bags sticker attached and be placed curbside for pickup.  As long as each bag has a sticker, there is no limit for how many bags can be put out each week.

Burn days will begin again in April, with the first date being Saturday 4/2/22 (weather permitting).  Burn days are in April, May, June, September, October and November, on Wednesdays and Saturdays (pending weather or any community events). Residents can check our website at www.cityofkewanee.com or call 852-2611 extension 6, after 8:00 a.m. to confirm each day if the Fire Department has determined that it is a burn day.

Residents are reminded that burn days are for landscape only, and that burning of treated wood, lumber, cardboard/paper products and trash is not permitted.
