At its April 27, 2020 City Council Meeting, the City of Kewanee established a short term program designed to provide financial assistance to small businesses suffering from the economic crisis generated as a side effect to attempts to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.  With little red-tape and ease of access being touted as primary benefits to the program, the City Council voted unanimously to establish the program which is slated to run from May 1^st through the end of June.
