The Kewanee Police Department has designated a full-time officer to the Black Hawk Area Task Force, a specialized unit led by the Illinois State Police, which includes officers from various municipalities and county Sheriff's offices. Our narcotics detective is an integral part of this team, focusing on the investigation of illegal drug distribution and trafficking at both the state and federal levels. Furthermore, the Task Force extends its cooperation to support other local law enforcement agencies in their drug-related investigations.
